Dating from the 18th century, this building has been extensively modernised to create a roomy yet cosy pub/restaurant. The bar room has original features, comfortable seating and two wood-burning stoves in winter. There are numerous separate dining areas serving an extensive menu of quality food. There is just one bar, with two handpumps serving at least one Scottish ale. The pub normally hosts an annual beer festival on the second Sunday in August in its large beer garden..
